Promoting Your Films

Please spread the word as much as possible and help promote your film. Our press release will be sent out to over one hundred media outlets.

Our email list is 23,000 strong

and gets blasted weekly. Our parent organization Coney Island USA has a Facebook presence with over 18,000 fans.

We need you to promote your films. We have 105 films to promote over a three day event and can't do it alone.

If you are bringing posters, one-sheets or postcards to the festival there will be designated areas where they can be placed.

If you've never been here, please have a look at our Photo Gallery from last year to familiarize yourself with our festival.

Awards Presentation
Sunday, September 25th, 8pm, Ruby's Bar & Grill on the boardwalk.

Airports:
JFK is the closest airport to Coney Island. Newark has the easiest access to Manhattan. LaGuardia is located in Queens.

Accomodations:

There are no hotels in Coney Island proper. There are hotels in Brooklyn and some are reasonably close. Brooklyn will be less expensive than Manhattan in most instances. Although we don't endorse or recommend any specific hotel because we have not stayed at any of these, we have compiled a list of reasonably priced (for New York City) hotels and bed and breakfast inns. We recommend bed and breakfast inns as a cheaper and often times nicer alternative to hotels.

Venues: Both Venues are in the same building.

Sideshows By The Seashore -1208 Surf Ave. Ground Floor, NY 11224

Coney Island Museum - 1208 Surf Ave. 2nd floor, Brooklyn, NY 11224 (One flight up, please note the Museum venue is not wheelchair accessible, there is no elevator.)

Venue phone number day of 718-372-5159

You will be standing or sitting in a very special place. Our building is one of the last remaining from Coney Island's heyday. Built in 1917 it originally was part of a restaurant chain in New York called "Child's Restaurant". It was for many years home to David Rosen's Wonderland Circus Side Show. Currently it houses Coney Island's not for profit arts organization Coney Island USA and houses the last remaining permanently housed 10 in 1 Circus Sideshow in the world as well as the Coney Island Museum.

Festival Badges, Screenings, Badge Pickup, Q+A

Each film gets TWO all access passes to the film festival which includes Opening Night Party and Screening, Saturday Night Party at the NY Aquarium as well as all screening blocks in the festival (except The Warriors on Saturday Night).

We need to know the two names assigned to your festival passes as soon as possible. Please email them to info@coneyislandfilmfestival.com. Be sure to include the film title, plus the two names for your passes. Please do not ask for more than two passes, as much as I would like to our parent organization has set this limit and our ticket prices are relatively inexpensive compared to most fests (and we have never raised the price in 11 years).

The reason that we limit the number of comp tickets we provide is that our venues are 80 and 80 capacity and the mission of the festival is to raise funds for Coney Island USA. a 501c3 not for profit arts organization. We also have to pay for operating costs and that isn't cheap in NYC!

You can buy extra tickets directly on our website.
www.coneyislandfilmfestival.com

YOU MUST RSVP FOR THE FEST no later than Monday September 19th, 1PM ET. We will confirm your rsvp by email. Just send us two names. If you decide to hand your pass off to someone else involved with the film, just kindly hand them the pass with someone elses name. Bring a sharpie and cross it out and write in the new name or leave it as is and confuse people, it's up to you!.

Filmmaker check in location is 1208 Surf Avenue Coney Island USA Giftshop. Enter the building at 1208 Surf Ave, the giftshop is to your right. Your two badges will be under your films title.

There are no passes to our screening of The Warriors on Saturday Night at 10:30pm.This is in agreement with our contract to screen the film.Ticket price is $10. A great opportunity to to see a Coney Island classic in the neighborhood it was shot in. We are the only organization to screen this classic film in the amusement zone on the very streets it was filmed on. In the past 6 years that we have screened this film, we have sold out.
