The Coney Island Film Festival was featured in an issue of SPIRIT, the inflight magazine of Southwest Airlines, as part of a quiz-style article by Jordan Rane entitled "Name That Indie Film Festival".
The Coney Island Film Festival was featured in the Fall 2003 issue of MovieMaker magazine. Christopher Zara's article described CIFF as diverse and unpredictable, "a showcase worthy of the neighborhood's amusement-rich history".
