Patrons gathered at the bar to celebrate and organize against the last minute eviction. Cindy and Melody Jacobs spoke emotionally about saving the venerable institution-and there was live music by Brooklyn musicians Sean Kershaw and the New Jack Ramblers. Several surprises awaited the filmmaker on his return trip to the subway station.
