A young screenwriter pitches his first movie.

Alexandros The Great
Paul Streiner, North Carolina, Short, 7:45, New York Premiere!

World reknown Magician, Alexandros The Great pulls out every trick in the book to win the affection of his lovely assistant Tatiana. When things go terribly wrong, will he ever find someone to love?

The Plight Of Cecil
Ed Hellman, Brooklyn, NY, Short, 7:00, World Premiere!

The Plight Of Cecil stars ventriloquism dummy Cecil Sinclaire, a cantankerous vaudeville talent agent and ventriloquist Carla Rhodes, his reluctant assistant.

This dark kid’s show for adults shows a glimpse into Cecil's antiquated, absurd office full of characters such as a live dove secretary, Victrolas, goofy product placement, salt water taffy, songs, plenty of jokes, and potential clients auditioning.

Dark undertones deepen and develop, suggesting something sinister is beneath the fun, candy coated surface.

A perfect surface description is, “It’s as if The Shari Lewis Show and Pee Wee's Playhouse were produced by the love child of Lucille Ball and directed by David Lynch!"

Fred Olen Ray, Studio City, CA, Short, 15:30, New York City Premiere!

After receiving a series of anonymous Shakespearean sonnets, Spidora (Megan Sheehan), a Side Show performer who plays the 'Girl with the Body of a Hideous Spider' at Dr. Grave's (Jerry Lacy) Museum of the Weird, finally agrees to meet her secret admirer (Bobby Quinn Rice) at the urging of her fellow workers. In the dark dressing room after the last show her true self is revealed.

Sold Out

When Dorothy notices "The Road" she's used to traveling on has suddenly changed, she and Toto set out to find their way back to it—with the help of a few characters they meet along the way.

Last Call at Ruby's
Marc Kehoe, New York, NY, Documentary Short, 5:10, World Premiere!

In 2010, during the period of sweeping changes to much beloved Coney Island (‘The People’s Playground’), it was announced that all businesses on the Reigelmann Boardwalk between W 10th Street and Stillwell Ave would be evicted, including Ruby’s Bar and Grill. Patrons gathered at the bar to celebrate and organize against the last minute eviction. Cindy and Melody Jacobs spoke emotionally about saving the venerable institution-and there was live music by Brooklyn musicians Sean Kershaw and the New Jack Ramblers. Several surprises awaited the filmmaker on his return trip to the subway station.

Marc Kehoe, New York, NY, Experimental, 14:43, World Premiere!

A murky and disorienting city torn apart after the first floods have indundated and receded-floods that will return again- is the setting for this internalized film nightmare- a city of distrust, betrayal, and fear, ruled by the iron fist of ‘The Control’-A city where love may be found at in the ruins of once beloved amusement park, where doom is the only future…or is it?

For Better and Worse
Ben Feuer, NY, Short, 8:13, Brooklyn Premiere!

In this silent slapstick comedy, a Heiress and Balloon Vendor fall in love... but when domestic strife brings out their Evil Villains, they must fight to reclaim their happiness.
